Article of the Day

Science & Scientists


Complete your Book of Knowledge. Make sure you write three 7-Up sentences about the article in your own words. Do not copy and paste. Read the article and think about what you learned from the article rather than writing word for word what the article says.

Math- p. 171 #20-23


Science-Watch this video on Atoms, pay attention to the parts that make up the atom and their charges. Also how the atoms join together with other atoms to make molecules.


Write the definition of:

Atom
Proton
Neutron
Electron
Molecule
Compound

Religion-Complete p. 259 & 260 in your religion book


Reading-Read Ch. 11 and answer these questions:

1. When the Tucks ate a meal, there was no conversation. Describe family customs during meal time at your house.
2. What advice would you give Winnie about being with the Tucks? would you tell her to stay or run away?


Vocabulary-we will be checking vocab pages today. Have them ready. Also vocab sentences are due today. Make sure your word is underlined and include the word count at the end of the sentence please.


English-Subject and Object Pronouns

Write these notes in your grammar journal:

Subject Pronouns-a pronoun used in the subject of a sentence. These pronouns are only used as subjects in a sentence.

Singular subject pronouns-I, you, he, she, it.

Plural subject pronouns-we, you, they.

Examples: He has many original ideas.  They are exciting and unusual.
Mom and I made bird feeders.

Object Pronoun- a pronoun used in the predicate part of the sentence (so that means it comes after the verb) or it can be used with a preposition.

Singular object pronouns-me, you, him, her, it.

Plural object pronouns-us, you, them.

Examples: The teachers asked him about his project.   It seemed brilliant to me.
This project was fun for James and me.
