Steps:

1. Find the LCD
2. Express the fractions as equivalent fractions with the LCD as the denominator
3. Rename the first mixed number (the minuend)  if the fraction is less than the second fraction (the        subtrahend).
4. Subtract. Write the difference (answer) in simplest form. 
Examples are on page 184.



Religion-rewrite the beatitudes # 5 and 6.

(Do not use merciful or mercy in your new version)

More Renaming of Fractions-When you have to rename a mixed fraction, these are the steps:

~Reduce the whole number by one
Ex: 4 2/5 = 3 + 1 + 2/5

~Change the one to a equivalent fraction
Ex: 4 2/5 = 3 + 5/5 + 2/5

~Combine all together
Ex: 4 2/5 = 3 7/5

Complete problems 1-3 on p. 184 in math book


Reading- read Ch. 24 in Tuck Everlasting and work on iMovie trailer due Friday.

Science-Periodic Table is put together in rows and columns. To help you understand rows and columns here is a fun math game to play. If you can’t find anyone to play the game with at least watch the game here on this video:


The organization of the periodic table has important significance. The rows are built using the atomic number of the elements and the columns are built according to the elements having similar properties.  Take a look at the table and copy down one row of the table. Then copy down a column of the table. Good luck!
