Reading-IXL Diagnostics, introduced new reading book, discussed different genres, 2RQ quizzes required each month
Vocabulary-Unit 1, listened to the story on p.6-7, reviewed words, definitions, synonyms, and antonyms of words on p. 8-9
Grammar-took notes on the 8 parts of speech. Notes here since Google Classroom is not readily available right now.
    Nouns-names a person, place or thing.
        abstract nouns-names things we cannot see such as ideas
Verbs-*action verbs tell what the subject is doing or did
            *linking verbs do not show action, links a subject to a noun or adjective in the sentence
Adjective-word that describes a noun or pronoun
Adverb-word that describes a verb, adjective or another adverb
Pronoun-words that take the place of a noun
Conjunction-words that join words or groups of words
Preposition-word that relates a noun or pronoun  to another word in the sentence
Interjection-an introductory word that shows emotion
