Density and Buoyancy
-Density is the measure of the amount of matter in a
given volume D=m/v
-It is a physical property of a substance
-Density is the same for a substance not matter how
much of the matter is measured
Floating or Sinking
-an object is buoyant if it floats
-buoyancy is important in balloons and boats
-if the objects density is less the the liquids density
it will float
-if the objects density is greater than the liquids
it will sink
