p. 50-51 # 1-8 Use rounding to do the problem, then multiply and find the actual answer.
Ex: 3302 x 7 =
3000 x 7 = 21,000 3302 x 7 = 23,114
Remember to include dollar sign and decimal if multiplying money. You may work problems vertically up and down as shown in the book if you would like.
Science
Reviewed the skin cell and how cells work together on p. 44-45.
Religion
We learned about the different clothing and objects used at mass.
Next week we will learn about the parts we see at mass, and parts that are used by altar servers.

Practice Unit 6 vocabulary words on Vocabulary Workshop. Start working on your sentences using Unit 6 words.
Reading
Read “Vote for Me“ in your reading textbook on p. 102-104. Read the Text to Text section-Compare Messages on p. 105. Think about how the two texts are alike and how they are different. You do not have to write anything for this assignment.

Reading-Go to Think Central, go to the Student Resource page as you did for your book online. Instead of going to your ebook go to the leveled reader section which is right next to the ebook section. Click on it and four shapes will appear click on the second shape “the diamond”. Once in click on lesson 3 and read the story “A Better Plan”. When you have finished reading complete the activities on p. 19 & 20 on paper.

Religion-read p. 82-83 Highlight the important words that reflect the Passion, Resurrection and Ascension of Jesus into heaven. Add a saint page for St. Veronica on a new sheet of paper.
Social Studies-we watched a slideshow on how to make a totem pole. Create one for you and your family. You can create your own symbols or use some of the ones the Native Americans used. There are some examples in the following slideshow. Use a paper towel cardboard roll and white paper to create your own totem pole.

Reading-Review lesson 3 vocabulary on p. 80-81 of your reading book.
Listen to the story “Off and Running” p. 84-87. You can access it on Think Central under 1) My library, 2) Student eBook (click on the words), 3)in new window click on enter book, 4) click on contents, 5) click on Unit 1, 6) click on lesson 3, 7) click on Off and Running, 8) once you have the book on you can click the audio button and it will read everything to you. If you have difficulty you can just read the story out of your textbook.
