Adding Mixed Numbers with unlike denominators

1) Find the LCD of the fractions

2) Rename the fractions as equivalents using the LCD

3) Add the fractions, then add the whole numbers

4) Write the sum in simplest form

Example:     7 2/5 + 5 3/10 = 7 4/10 + 5 3/10 = 12 7/10

Example:     6 1/4 + 2 1/6 + 8 1/3 = 6 3/12 + 2 2/12 + 8 4/12 = 16 9/12 = 16 3/4
