5th Grade STREAM Project Packet: SUPER POWERS in STEM Due 11/17

Welcome, young scientists and inventors! In this STREAM project, you'll explore how real-world STEM innovations give humans “superpowers.” Through science, technology, reading, engineering, art, and math, you’ll design and create your own invention that could give someone a real-life superpower!

🎯 Project Goal

Students will research, design, and create an invention inspired by real science and technology that gives humans a 'superpower' — such as flight, strength, night vision, healing, or speed.

💥 Driving Questions

1. How can science and technology give humans superpowers?

2. What kind of invention could make humans stronger, faster, or smarter?

3. How do real scientists and engineers use STEM to help humans do amazing things?

🔬 Project

Super Senses

Explore how animals use special abilities to survive. Research an animal with an amazing ability such as echolocation, night vision, or camouflage. Design a prototype or model that helps humans mimic this ability. You should have already started researching your animal in science class.
